The music accompanying our new art book,Time Released Sound: A Decade Of Music Packaging, is also available in this individual, limited 2 CD set, in an edition of 60 copies. We reached out to artists that TRS has released in the past, requesting a track suited to the theme of time, to reflect the aural aesthetic of our label. There are 36 selected tracks on the 2 CD’s, with over 2.5 hours of music.

The CD’s in their cotton sleeves come with a unique 1970’s computer floppy disc, in its own original sleeve, all in a hand stamped and modified, 6” square envelope.

Wondering about the book itself?

After over ten years of obsessively making the thousands of handmade packages that the beautiful music we have released come in, we felt that our artistic output deserved to be brought together in book form. This is a way to showcase all of our designs and products for those of you that may or may not have the originals, and as a personal redemption of sorts for ourselves! Because we wanted complete control over the look and feel of the book, we decided early on that we would self produce it, and after the two year plus process that it has taken, “Time Released Sound: A Decade Of Handmade Music Packaging” has finally arrived! When seeking truly quiet, peaceful music, most of what I hear I leave, not sensing internal depth below the sound. This is different.
